ABSTRACT

This study examines two distinct types of e-Government services for its citizens: i) information sharing and disclosure; and ii) transactional services including issuing official documents. The analysis focuses on the relationship between trust in government, perceived transaction risks, perceived ease-of-use, perceived usefulness and the intent to use the G4C services. Through a survey that was conducted on these two different types of G4C services, this research shows (1) trust in government has an impact on the intent to use transactional services; (2) the more complicated the service, people are less concerned with transaction risks; (3) perceived usefulness is the most significant factor in the intent to use the e-Government services; and (4) perceived ease-of-use has an indirect impact on the intent to use the service via perceived usefulness.
