ABSTRACT

RFID has been bringing drastic changes to our economy, society, and culture as a core foundation technology of the Ubiquitous Sensor Network(USN). RFID is widely spread among the industries with the strong support of related institutions, but, we need to consider the negative side caused by the business information leak and privacy problems. This study develops Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) to analyze the effect of the policy trust and perceived risk on the attitude of RFID. In order to analyze the relationships between these variables, SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 7.0 are used. The survey result reveals that the policy trust such as RFID support policy, standardization effort, and privacy protection effort increases the positive attitude toward the RFID by decreasing the perceived risk. It also indicates that the respondents highly perceives the usefulness of the technology in spite of perceiving the risk.
