ABSTRACT

Improved interoperability among public information systems is of critical importance to make electronic government more successful. The current level of information sharing for interoperability is, however, often inefficient and error-prone. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate interoperability level between disaster information sharing database and related systems based on LISI(Level of Information Systems Interoperability) model. The findings show that interoperability level between disaster information database for common use and related systems is ‘level 2’connected with Text or DB link, and ‘level 3’ connected with Web based XML. In this paper, we also present a practical procedure which has been developed for the systematic evaluation of interoperability levels.
