AB - This paper explores the various types of referring expressions and the method of resolving them in a man-machine dialogue system. The types of anaphora include the pronominal, definite noun phrase, count noun, bound noun, and anaphoric verb. Anaphora used in a dialogue refer to the information that a speaker and a hearer share. Specifically, we show unrecent anaphoric phenomena in the task-oriented dialogue, and propose a anaphora processing method for natural language processing in the level of discourse.
