This article focuses on the content Analysis of ‘Choseon Gyri Song (조선지리가)’ in the period from the late of Nineteen century to the early of Twentieth, the period commonly regarded as the Enlightenment Period in Korea. During this period, This song consists of contents of Territorial consciousness, distance of north-south, populations, beautiful landscape, products in the comfort of climate and fertile soils. This song contains geographic perspectives and wide range of geographic facts, physical geography and human geography. Particularly, In terms of contents description in each phrase in this song, it is possible to conclude that real outcomes of this song education at the time contributed significantly to enlightenment and patriotism of people.

The aim of this paper is to delineate the boundary system of the local housing market areas in Seoul Metropolitan Area. Previous studies on local system of housing market areas can be classified into two groups: housing sub-market approach and housing market area(HMA). After in-depth consideration, HMA approach is selected as a method to delineate local housing market areas in Seoul Metropolitan Area for two reasons. First, housing market areas by nature can be more properly conceptualized as functional regions. Also, it is possible to accommodate housing sub-markets in the framework of HMA. Functional regionalization for delineating HMAs is implemented by using Intramax procedure (Masser and ･Brown, 1975) and 2005-2010 migration data of Seoul Metropolitan Area. According to the percentage of the intrazonal interaction, three of resulting areas, 60%, 7%0 and 75% are generated. The numbers of regions of respective result are 52, 17, and 9. All resulting areas are spatially continuos and show a certain extent of discordance with the administrative boundaries. This is a paper about the change of port settlement in both a development period from 1930 to 1960 and its decline period after 1960. The developing stage was when a basic landscape manifested cultural characteristics such as village and town. As the commercial function of Ippo port was expanded, it attracted people and population of Ippo grew. This caused the main road to provide commercial and service function. A commission agency was important but weaken by a fishermen's union. Fish in Ippo and brown rice was loaded and unloaded by commision agency and union labor. The port settlement was declined by the construction of railroads and new road. At 1920, railroads were considered as a more convenient transportation than water transfortation. As the road traffic is much faster than water traffic, it replaced the water traffic. After the Ippo port stopped in 1960s, a regular interval market and commercial function also stopped and it brought about the population decrease like other rural areas. The construction of Geumgang river estuary dam at 1990 had an impact on the end of the port in Ippo. Ippo has held a Uyea festival since 2004 as a part of regional development.
