Cause on Relatively Low Growth of Jeonju City: Focus on Comparison with Kwangju and Daejeon Metropolitan City

ABSTRACT

In this study, research the cause of the relatively low growth of Jeonju city compared to Gwangju and Daejeon metropolitan city since 1900s. Summarizing the results are as follows; First, Jeonju city has been shrunk the hinterland from Jeolla-do Province to Jeollabuk-do Province by 13 regional district institution in 1896. Second, setting a relatively narrow administrative area compared to the population density in 1935 which was Bu and Gun separation period. Third, the expansion process of the administrative district was not proper in time and pace. Fourth, relatively low absorbed in population from the hinterland since 1960s.
