AB - 本稿は、語彙總体論の立場をとり、對象語彙としては、複數の資料（小說、新聞、敎科書、雜誌）を語彙調査して、その中から多方面にわたって出現しながら割合よく使われる語彙を「基幹語彙」として選定する。それは日韓兩言語にとって基幹部を成す重要度の高いものであると言えるのであり、それを比較の對象として用いるので本稿は集団規範語彙における比較語彙硏究になる。
次に、比較の方法であるが、語彙の意味という觀点に重点をおいて比較する。意味というものは、ほぼユニバーサルな存在であるから他言語との比較が可能であるだろうし、品詞別、語種別からは捉えられなかった語彙の種々の姿を把握することができるのである。そのため、意味を數量的に扱う必要があるがそれを可能にしたのが「比較語彙論」でいう「意味分野別構造分析法」（The Structural Analysis of Vocabulary with Special Reference to Semantic Categories）である。意味分野別構造分析法では、語彙の構成要素である個々の語に意味コードを与え、それを集計して分析を行う。選定した日韓「基幹語彙」を中心に比較語彙論の分析方法である意味分野別構造分析法を使って出現に有意差が生じている意味分野を指摘し、各意味分野別構造の特徵を明らかにするところにある。分析の結果、有意差が生じた項目に對する詳細な原因の究明までは手が届いていないが、從來の語彙總体論の觀点からは捉えられなかった意味的側面における特徵を明らかにしたと思う。
