AB - 前回、課題として殘された形容詞アクセントの変化が、果たして東京出身に限って起こる現象なのか、それとも全國的現象なのかを調べる目的で、今回は地方出身を對象として形容詞アクセントの変化の樣相やその要因、年齡差を調べた。その結果は次のようである。
第一は、平板型「赤い、おいしい」の起伏型への変化は終止形に目立ち、91.7%もあらわれ東京の89.3%より若干上回っている。その反面、連体形においては地方・東京とも30%以下の変化を見せ、また單獨の場合は終止形と全く同一な結果が得られた。こうした変化の要因は「多數形アクセントへの統合」によるものと考えられ、これはまた最近名詞が平板型へ変化しつつあることとは逆のパターンでもある。
第二は、起伏型形容詞の「～ク・～クテ・～ケレバ・カッタ」活用形においては、アクセント核が１拍後ろにずれる現象(地方57.3%：東京56.3%)が目立っていることである。
第三は、東京出身は若いほど変化が目立ち、年齡差が明確に現れたが、地方出身はそれほどの年齡差は見られなかった。
第四は、「オーキケレバ、オーキカッタ」のように長音や無聲化した母音など、アクセントの置きにくい拍が續く「音韻構造」となっている語は、年齡と關係なくゆれは若干あるものの、アクセントの動きがない安定型アクセントを保っている点などがあげられる。
いずれにせよ、今回の調査であらわれた現象の中で、とりわけ<平板型形容詞の起伏型への変化>と<起伏型形容詞の活用形アクセントが１拍後ろにずれる現象>などは全國的現象としてあらわれた。
