According to Korean Employment Information, Service employment has decreased by 50 thousand since 2013, amounting to about 3,793,000 people employed in 2014.
However, there has been a 23.6% increase, by about 313 people, in international employment since 2012. This points to an increase in awareness about international employment amongst young Koreans. To solve this unemployment crisis, the government, schools, and the work industry need to work closely together to find a solution. One solution that was under consideration was analysing the process that the government uses to assist with employment locally and internationally.
