ABSTRACT

"A certain woman" is a work depicting the process of the hero Yoko's ruin.In particular, the second part of "A certain woman" exclusively describes the ruin of Yoko. I think that is why, but there are many indications that "a certain woman" is a ruined story. The cause of Yoko's ruin in this work is that he fell in love with the seaman, an unexpected Kurachi, to Yoko, who was on a ship bound for America, towards Kimura, who is his fiancee. In the ship, the two become an undesirable relationship, and Yoko returns to Japan with Kurauchi as it is without stepping on the ground in the United States. This article discusses the love that arose between Yoko, who was also the cause of the destruction, and the love, with a focus on that love. Why is Yoko not with Kimura, but with Kurachi? What happened in a ship bound for America is discussed in this paper. Then, in order to find out the cause, I started with Kurachi, the character of the work, and focused on Mrs. Tagawa and Oka. From the point of view through this paper, it appears that Mrs. Tagawa and Oka have an excessive influence in progressing to an unfavorable relationship between Yoko and Kurachi. And he discussed through this paper what sort of attraction Yoko was attracted to, and what attraction he saw in Kura.
