ABSTRACT

Objectives To report a case of recalcitrant subnasal warts that had persisted for over 2 years with treatment failure to various treatments including cryotherapy, laser therapy, and immunotherapy in a child treated with Cheongungkyeoji-tang-gamibang Methods A 6-year-old Soeumin boy with recalcitrant subnasal warts that presented as two protruding lesions beneath the nose measuring 3.5 mm and 1.0 mm in length was treated with Cheongungkyeoji-tang-gamibang; no acupuncture, moxibustion, or other procedures were performed. Results At approximately 3 weeks, one lesion had resolved and the other was nearly flat; by week 5, both lesions had completely cleared. No scarring, pigmentary changes, or adverse events occurred, and no recurrence was observed at a 12-week follow-up. Conclusions Cheongungkyeoji-tang-gamibang may be a safe and effective option for recalcitrant subnasal warts in a child.
