Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning, imagery, and post-evaluation that has been handed down among people based on the stories related to Kim Si-seup from Gangwon-do. Through this, we examined the aspects and characteristics of the Kim Si-seup folk tale and how to use it strategically.
Methods: In preparation for the biography, discussions were conducted on the folktales related to Kim Si-seup from Gangwon-do. Based on the folktales, it was divided into Kim Si-seup as a genius, Kim Si-seup as a talent, Kim Si-seup as a feng shui geographer, and Kim Si-seup as a god, and examined his imagery, post-evaluation, and the meaning of the character in the consciousness of the people.
Conclusions: Based on the story of Kim Si-seup from Gangwon-do, Kim Si-seup's appearance has various aspects, ranging from passive feng shui history with superpowers to a high-level god defending the village, and it is recognized as a result overall but accepted in the positive rather than negative aspects.
