ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to develop a multicultural competency enhancement PBL program for pre-counselors and then verify the effectiveness. Based on the ADDIE model, a multicultural competency enhancement PBL education program was developed. A total of 30 pre-counselors participated in the research, and the effectiveness of the program was verified using a repeated measures ANOVA for multicultural competency, self-efficacy, and interpersonal relationship ability. The analysis revealed significant differences in the scores of all the variables between the experimental and control groups, with the experimental group scoring higher. The program was found to positively contribute to the improvement of multicultural competency, self-efficacy, and interpersonal relationship ability. The use of various PBL education programs for enhancing multicultural competency is expected to expand.
