ABSTRACT

In this study, The relation of mutual influence on Chinese movies, American movies and Soviet movies which are setting in the Yanan area from 1938 to 1946 was considered. Yanan film production center, organized in 1938, produced documentary films regarding the action state of Mao Zedong and Red military forces by using the Soviet movies and American movies as textbook for its reference. Broadcasting team belonging to the film production center used to release the self-manufactured movies and imported movies in the nearby area. The researcher of this study started from the objective research, which arranges movie lists that were released at that time. And then analyzed the context which diagnose the international relations of China and three major powers-USA, Soviet Union and Japan. Through the cultural cases before the Cold War, international relations are viewed to track the third party-China to build up the location in the relations between ‘USA/Soviet Union’, the opposing relation during the Cold War. With this, it could be checked that the ‘Ideology’ -centered Cold War system was flexibly reformed through the factors of ‘benefit’ and international ‘affect’.
