ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to present respect for life education that pursues Christian responsibility based on awareness of the crisis of increasing suicide and awareness of the problem in public education. This study applies the critical correlation method presented by David Tracy to the MZ generation, where the problem of suicide is becoming a serious issue. This understands the plurality of modern society and critically links human experience and the methods of the Christian tradition on an equal footing. Through this, a theoretical framework for respect for life education was presented and the direction of respect for life education as a Christian responsibility was presented. The purpose of education presented through this is education to raise responsible human beings, and the content of education is human experience and interpretation of Christian scripture and tradition. The educational method is dialogue-centered education, teachers and learners are encounters between interpreters, and the environment is an area of life that humans can interpret. This study is meaningful in that it goes beyond the analysis of MZ generation suicide and presents the importance of education as an alternative at a preventive level.
