ABSTRACT

Within the post-truth condition, affect and conviction shaped by individual and socio-cultural contexts often outweigh factuality in shaping public opinion. This study identifies emotion as a decisive force in relational processes that generate public transformation. It advances an aesthetic publicness within public theology, drawing on the Ästhetik des Performativen to foreground embodied participation through which meaning arises intersubjectively. In contrast to media-constructed simulacra of truth, it contends that human existence may be reconstituted as a living medium through which the truth of Christ is made manifest.
