ABSTRACT

This writing's purpose was to find about Kim Sung-ok's novel's educational significance. First, this thesis studied the esthetic and thematic character in the aspect of the writing of sensibility and a questing of self and everydayness in Kim Sung-Ok's novel. Kim Sung-Ok formalizes the experiences of everyday life in Seoul, and deals with the essence of capitalistic everydayness. Like this, his themes are very fresh in modern novel. Therefore he takes very important status in the history of literature. And His novel establish self-identity literature to do with adolescent students through indirect experience will provide the opportunity for self-reflection. In addition, the center of Seoul in the 1960s, the city's capitalist ilsangseong quest to understand the context of contemporary student life is to reflect the nature and structure of the castle.
