ABSTRACT

This paper analyzes the various imaginaries of community and immunity in season 2 of the Netflix drama Sweet Tooth to find new possibilities for human-nonhuman relations and biopolitics in the post-apocalyptic era. Critiquing the ethical collapse and self-destructive consequences of the extreme immunization of the “last of humanity” and exploring alternative possibilities based on inclusion and solidarity through the community of hybrid, the researcher found that Sweet Tooth Season 2 continues the tradition of post-apocalyptic science fiction, but also rethinks the immunization paradigm and community ethics in contemporary society.
