ABSTRACT

'Min' is defined, in the middle age section of ChosunJunsa, not only as the dominant class which fulfill the class-struggle to obtain the autonomy from the feudal ruling-classes' exploitation but also as the subject of the anti-imperialistic struggle trying to protect the national sovereignty. As for the anti-imperialistic struggle of 'Min', there has been no serious change because of its single purpose of protecting sovereignty. As for the class-struggle, however, it seems that there was a serious change. Before the Koryo Dynasty, class-struggle's main purpose was the liberation from the personal subordination. After the Chosun Dynasty, however, it was the liberation from the economic exploitation. This change might be seen as the expanding process of Min's autonomy. Nevertheless any other concrete examples of the process cannot be found. This is due to the historical perspective of ChosunJunsa : evaluating every struggle from the viewpoint of Min's immature class-consciousness.
