ABSTRACT

School education is the most efficient and direct education procedure in all ones. In considering the position and vision of 'HYO education', it's important to examine the position of the HYO education in school education. With the study of 'Korea Instruction Course Evaluation(KICE)' in 2009. 9, this thesis discuss where current HYO education is ranked and how prospection and theme is expected. This thesis discuss HYO education as 'cross-curricularity education content' as follows. First, 'cross-curricularity' has a unique feather that previous subject has. Second, 'HYO education' belongs to 'HYO - Respecting the elders -traditional ethics'- in the Korea 7th revision education course. Third, 'HYO education' has another mission different from the previous subject. The way of studying this thing is followed. First, the feather of 'cross-curriculum' is explained. Second, the feather and limitation of HYO education is explained. Through researches, academic location of 'HYO -Respecting the elders -Traditional ethics' is elucidated. for those reasons, the current status of Hyo education is well shown. Also it will supply information on the most practical HYO education in school education. These thesis argue that HYO education is appropriate to 'cross-curriculum'. These thesis insist that philosophical foundation and developing textbook of HYO education is necessary. Until now, social science research of HYO education is in deficiency. This study will play an important role that makes up for that deficiency.
