ABSTRACT

Religion regards the relation not only between God and human but also between the society and human as one of the most important things. It contains the cultural tradition of the society, forming its own frame to make its culture. So, we call it “Religion” a rich repository that hands down cultural things from generation to generation. “Hyo”, being dutiful to one's parents, is not only a part of the tradition but also one of the main parts in Religious view. Especially, “Hyo” in modern society is not limited in a group of family like parents and their sons and daughters, but also is able to mean that it can paly an important role ethically in the society. And taking a view of Christianity, “Hyo” is able to man “Agape” that is God's love and care spreads out everybody. I would like to tell you the meaing of “Hyo” having a view “Agape”, and with this view, I would like to think of the most serious problems in our modern society, that is “The Elderly Care.” This essays is goint to see the problem and suggest some solutions to the problem with a view of Christianity. Christianity has a positive view of the elderly and aging, and also regards it as an important virtue. In Christianity, “Hyo” is a way of following Jesus Christ examples and making harmony among human beings in society.
