ABSTRACT

This study aims to find the direction of HYO culture education in Korean culture education by grasping the flow of the “international standard Korean language curriculum” which is the standard of Korean language education. In the “International Standard Korean Curriculum”, “use” and “use” of Korean language education were read. In terms of cultural education, “practicality” was read. In Korean language education, cultural education is being emphasized more and more over time. Emphasizing the necessity of ‘HYO’ cultural education, which is a unique sentiment of Korea and a universal sentiment of mankind. By organizing the concept of traditional HYO and modern HYO, we sought ways to advance “HYO” cultural education in Korean language education. First, it suggested the importance of two-way 'HYO' rather than one-sided 'HYO' as mutual respect. Second, it suggested that 'HYO' is to love each other in terms of humanity. Third, it emphasized that mutual respect and love for humanity should eventually go in the direction of “practice”. The “HYO” culture content was not presented in the “International Korean Standard Curriculum”. However, for the sustainable development of the Korean language, ‘HYO’ cultural education must be taught.
