Background: As the life expectation has been longer, the interests that how the life of older era is has been focused, and the discussions of the concept of subjective well-bing are increasing. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the moderation effect of the influence of self-esteem in the old-age on subjective well-being between older-old group and the-oldest-old one. Methodology/Approach: The data of Korean Welfare Panel Studyin 15th wave which was the newest was used. The structural equation modeling analysis was utilized. Findings/Conclusions: The influence of self-esteem on the subjective well-being in the ola-age was significantly increased, and the difference was found with satisfaction of the family relationships. In the older-age group, the interaction term influence positively on the subjective well-being. On the other hand, in the oldest-old one, it did’t. Implications: With the research results, the implications were suggested for interventions of the policy and practice.
