ABSTRACT

Researches on space described in literature have lasted for a long time. Related studies have variously dealt with the definition of space and place as well as literary and emotional specialty which a certain space bears and further the methods and the examples for making it contents. These studies are developed for building many literary houses, festivals, project villages, and so on, and can become discovered easily. Nevertheless, there are many subjects that have not been studied yet about studies on spatiality. Thus, this study aims to examine several literary pieces by some writer which has the same time and space setting. There are various literary works with a specific historical event as their setting, Hangang Bridge is selected as a significant space to study literary works, because it is considered that to choose historically meaningful space and event as a subject of research is corresponding to the purpose of this study. Also, because broken bridge didn t allow people to move forward south, various additional damages occurred.
