AB - This paper attempts to explore Bergson's idea of anti-visualism with Ji Ha-Lyon, who created a unique world of art directly or indirectly inverting the ideas and values of Western civilization, during the Japanese colonial period. Henri Bergson and Ji Ha-Lyon, both are modernists who rebel against the vision-oriented system that has been the tradition of Western material civilization before and after World War I. They form their unique and special world of work and philosophical system, by being not captured by the modern logic and the central logic of that unified period, which is as a reaction to this. Bergson highlights the epistemological aspects of instincts and emotions that were neglected and ignored in the history of art and philosophy of Western civilization in the past. He tries to break away from the view of the human being formed in the Western tradition, and to establish human beings as a free spiritual being in which mind and body are integrated. Ji Ha-Lyon also, unlike contemporary writers, adopts narrative of women's solidarity-like narrative structure, which is very similar to the philosophical theory of Bergson, a Western modernist. This can be seen in the fact that she does not delve into the problems of poverty or ideology, which are the agony of the times, in terms of writing, but intensely anguishes toward human identity. This study examines the philosophical way of thinking of Bergson, a representative Western modernist.
Also based on this, one, who wants to praise his fore sighting aspect in the search for modern characters, analyzes Ji Ha-Lyon 's works.
