AB - Realism writers (Renshengpai) are the most representative figure in modern Chinese literature. Wenxueyanjiuhui, founded in 1921, advocated Realism literature as well as the first modern-style Chinese novel, they also perfectly embodied the enlightenment idea of anti-feudalism. When they wrote, they used classical Chinese and Russian realism, such as 'Wenti Novel' and 'Wenti Drama'.
Their continuous scholarly research strengthened the need for enlightenment through literature, which can be understood as an inward process of completion of the enlightenment anti-feudalism. Had they been allowed to devote themselves purely to scholarly research, he would have had far more distinguished achievements, in addition to their accomplishments in the field of the history of Chinese literature.
