The Participants Satisfaction of Supporting Projects for Social Participation of the Elderly: about Business Start-up or Employment Policies

ABSTRACT

This study stimulates understanding of supporting projects about social participation of the elderly and particularly, examines the effects of the activities of the aged who participated in business start-up or employment projects on satisfaction. As supporting projects about social participation of the elderly is the key project of the policies of job creation for the elderly, this study focuses on these kinds of projects. The author collected data from a sample of the aged who participated in business start-up or employment projects conducted by Cheon-nam government in 2015 by means of questionnaires. The results of analysis present that the positive effects of regional characteristics, demographic characteristics, and personal characteristics on the overall satisfaction of the project and satisfaction of collection, training and the person in charge of the project. In particular, regional characteristics and supporting of the living cost among personal characteristics have significant effects on satisfaction with the project.
