AB - This paper examines the relationship between conflict experience and job satisfaction in personal assistants for the disabled, explores the moderating effect of achievement motivation on those relationships, and suggests practical implications for social work services for personal assistants for the disabled. Data for this study were collected through the use of a survey instrument completed by 278 personal assistants for the disabled. After collected data were analysed by moderated multiple regression, we reached two major conclusions. First, this study provided clear evidence that conflict experience was a very important variable that affected psychological well-being in adolescence. Second, achievement motivation had a moderating effect on relationship conflict experience and job satisfaction in personal assistants for the disabled. Based on these findings reinforcing the importance of job satisfaction and achievement motivation, we suggest effective intervention programs.
