ABSTRACT

Philosopher of Technology Ihde raise three kinds of ‘human-technology relations’. He sees that recently philosophy of technology and philosophy of science escapes from the separating state from each other and meets overlapping situation between their research areas. In this paper, I will probe, with Ihde’s three kinds of human-technology relations, the interface between philosophy of technology and philosophy of science centering on Latour’s (TRF(H) studies in laboratory) and Hacking’s (microscopy studies in experimental science) arguments. It seems that this interface is resulted not from each other’s hope for meeting the other but from unintended encounter between them.
