ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to examine the mediating effect of organizational communication on the relationship between job stress and organizational effectiveness among office workers. The participants were 260 office workers residing in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gyeongsang regions. Data were analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win. Ver. 25 and SPSS PROCESS macro 4.2 through descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, t-tests, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and mediation effect analysis. The findings of the study are as follows: First, job stress did not show differences based on general characteristics. Second, job stress exhibited a negative correlation with organizational communication and organizational effectiveness, whereas organizational communication showed a positive correlation with organizational effectiveness. Third, regression analysis revealed that organizational communication demonstrated a mediating effect between job stress and organizational effectiveness, particularly in terms of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Based on these findings, future research directions were suggested, and policy implications were proposed.
