AB - There were major changes in the welfare policy and field of our society, according to introduction and use of rapidly developing AI digital technology. At this point, it was necessary to discuss a reflective discourse on the role of AI, which affected the entire quality of life, including education and welfare of the disabled. In this study, through the analysis according to Priestley's (1998) multiple disability model for the need for an in-depth and qualitative analysis in the field of education and welfare of the disabled, the phenomenon of AI-related discussions in the field of welfare for the disabled and the direction to proceed in the future were considered. As a result of analyzing 45 domestic academic papers and 27 academic papers with the keywords of 'disability' and 'AI' in the Academic Research Information Service (RISS), the materialistic the medical model 41%, the ideological medical model 22%, the materialistic social model 16%, and the idealistic social model 7% were found. Overall, amid a strong medical model trend, suggestions were made on the future direction of artificial intelligence research in the field of education and welfare of the disabled.
