Tourism in Henan Province, China, has expanded markedly: total tourism revenue grew from RMB 387.55 billion in 2013 to RMB 926.56 billion in 2023. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing tourism revenue in Henan Province. Therefore, the correlation is analyzed by applying the gray correlation analysis (GRA) method based on the data from 2013 to 2024 among the press data of Henan. The gray analysis system included six first-class indicators and 12 second-class indicators of economic development level, human resource condition, transportation capacity, tourism service level, informatization level, and tourist attractiveness. The traditional GRA model was optimized through the model of the gray analysis system, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 26 for the correlation between variables. As a result, human resources showed the highest correlation to tourism income, followed by tourism services and economic conditions. The influence of transportation and informatization factors was relatively low. This study presented decision support for sustainable growth of the tourism revenue in Henan by establishing specific strategies such as fostering human resources for human resource conditions and establishing a smart tourism ecosystem.
