ABSTRACT

This study examines differences in tourist satisfaction and revisit intention according to visit motivation types among international tourists to Seoul. Using data from the 2025 Seoul Tourism Survey, visit motivations were classified into seven categories, and Welch’s ANOVA, Games–Howell tests, and regression analysis were conducted. The results show significant differences in both satisfaction and revisit intention across motivation types. Satisfaction varied partially among groups, with the cultural motivation group reporting higher satisfaction than the shopping and food groups. Similarly, the cultural motivation group showed significantly higher revisit intention than other groups, including shopping and food. Tourist satisfaction was also found to have a significant positive effect on revisit intention. These findings suggest the need for differentiated tourism strategies based on visit motivation and provide empirical implications for tourism policy and marketing.
