ABSTRACT

In the rapidly changing business environment, universities are implementing various sustainable management strategies for growth and development, just like companies. Currently, based on specialization strategies and the selection as one of the "Glocal 30 Universities," universities are continuously striving to achieve various performance indicators and improve quality. Accordingly, this study conducted an empirical analysis on 178 participants to examine the effects of self-leadership and learning agility on the improvement of university life satisfaction perceived by university students, who serve as the foundation for sustainable universities. First, self-leadership was found to have a positive (+) relationship with learning agility. Second, self-leadership showed a positive influence on university life satisfaction. Third, learning agility was analyzed to be statistically significant regarding university life satisfaction. Fourth, learning agility demonstrated a mediating effect between self-leadership and university life satisfaction. In other words, university students, who form the foundation of the sustainable growth and development of universities, must be able to enhance their engagement through satisfaction with university life. To this end, it is necessary to systematically advance implementation frameworks and strategies that can deepen learning agility, as well as differentiated self-leadership competency enhancement measures tailored to the specific characteristics of each university.
