ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to analyze the experience of using digital healthcare devices of the elderly in Korean society, which has entered a super-aged society, and to seek effective health care measures. As a result of the analysis of 283 elderly people aged 65 or older using smartwatches, it was found that the ease of use of digital healthcare devices had a positive effect on usefulness and attitude, and a positive attitude increased user satisfaction, and satisfaction positively affected both usage intention and actual usage behavior. These findings suggest that, in order to encourage older adults to participate in active health management through digital healthcare devices, technologies and products designed for older adults should be simple and user-friendly. In addition, social support systems and educational programs should be established to reduce the psychological burden and fear associated with the use of digital healthcare devices among older adults.
