In the process of language acquisition, it is known that the native language can acquire a certain level of learning without intentional educational activities through several agents such as social environment and family environment.However, in the case of foreign languages, it can be said that learning is not performed unconsciously, but by systematic and intentional guidance and repeated efforts by learners.In this process, the vocabulary is the most important part for accurate and active foreign language communication.
A vocabulary is a collection of words used within a certain range. A certain range is large, indicating one language, one era, one generation, one region, and in detail, one person, one work, etc. can be viewed in various ways. At the time of utterance, select important words in the Japanese language that you have acquired and make sentences. At this time, the number of words that can be used varies depending on the individual, and it is natural that the number of words used by sentences and discourses to be expressed and the type differ.
In foreign language learning, it is more effective to acquire basic vocabulary first than unconditional vocabulary learning.
In developing teaching materials, it is necessary to clarify goals and objectives. Also, by grasping the needs of learners, we try to make progress in learning that beginners Japanese language learners need. The purpose is to develop teaching materials that are interested in Japanese and improve the ability of Japanese while minimizing the barriers encountered in the learning process.
In this study, we try to consider the problems and future directions in developing JLPT N5 teaching materials using only the essential vocabulary of beginner Japanese language learners.
