AB - In this study, we investigates the influence of the job stress of hospital staffs
on organizational commitment and job satisfaction in order to provide basic
materials for improving their job satisfaction in hospital works, effective
operations, and job environments. Also, this study collects related materials using a self-administration questionnaire method for the staffs, such as nurses, medical technologists, and general staffs, who have been worked in the Northern area of Gyeongbuk. In the results of the analysis of the correlation between the job stress and job satisfaction and the organization commitment, the job satisfaction and organization commitment showed a significantly positive (+) correlation with the emotional commitment and a significantly negative (-) correlation with the job stress. In the results of the analysis of the factors that affect the job satisfaction using a multiple regression method, the factors of marriage(p<0.01), age(p<0.01), role and load stresses(p<0.01), and interpersonal relation(p<0.01) represented
significant differences. In addition, the explanatory power(R2) in the total
variances of general characteristic variables and job stress variables was 28.7%. In the results of the analysis of the factors that affect the organization commitment using a multiple regression method, the factors of sex(p<0.01), marriage(p<0.01), education level(p<0.05), and role condition stress(p<0.05) represented significant differences. In addition, the explanatory power(R2) in the total variances of general characteristic variables and job stress variables was 18.4%. In the results of this study, it was verified that the job satisfaction and organization commitment were influenced by the job stress. In addition, it is necessary to continuously make efforts for improving working environments and job performance in order to reduce staffs' job stresses.
