ABSTRACT

The application of Information and Communication Technology(ICT) is increasing to offer suitable educational service to students with disabilities. However, in reality, there has been two major problems in using ICT in special schools and classes. Those problems issued by teachers are lacks of the number of special education software and insufficient information of selecting special education software. To respond these problems, the purpose of this study was to develop the evaluation guide of educational software for students with disabilities. For this study, first, educational software evaluation tools and researches relating to software design·evaluation were investigated. Second, based on the investigating results, the preliminary evaluation guide of educational software was developed and the feasibility study of preliminary evaluation guide was evaluated by 10 special education teachers. The evaluation guide of educational software for students with disabilities consisted of 6 domains and 44 items. The 6 domains were basic information(5 items), contents organization(10 items), instructional design(12 items), technological appropriateness(9 items), utilization(4 items) and reflection of disability character(4 items).
