This study examines the difference in perception of lifelong learning among residents of S District and lifelong education personnel, and analyzes the needs of lifelong education programs to realize a lifelong learning city that meets the needs of residents of S District. It is to provide basic data for and provide a plan for vitalizing lifelong education.
As a result of the study, the residents of S District recognized the need for lifelong education, and found that institutions near the home mainly participated in lifelong education. Information related to lifelong education was mainly obtained through newsletters, and the main purpose of participating in lifelong learning was to enrich the lives of individuals. As a result of analyzing the perception differences between the residents of S District and lifelong education personnel, the paths for residents to obtain information about lifelong learning, the paths promoted by lifelong education personnel, the reasons for participating in lifelong learning programs, and the satisfaction of lifelong learning environment were different. In addition, the priority of residents' needs for lifelong education programs was in the order of sports, foreign languages, humanities, culture, arts, and citizen participation.
Overall, S District looks at lifelong education projects in each area, focusing on lifelong learning centers, in order to realize a lifelong learning city that meets the needs of residents, and each institution in charge of lifelong education establishes networks, partnerships with information exchanges, etc. It is necessary to establish a sustainable lifelong education support system that promotes win-win development in the community through mutual organic collaboration. Therefore, it is expected that this study will provide implications for the realization of a lifelong learning city that meets the needs of residents and the establishment of a plan to promote lifelong learning.
