ABSTRACT

This study sought to provide basic data for the establishment of a desirable ethics service by analyzing the consciousness of biomedical ethics of nursing students. Methods : Subjects were nursing students selected from nursing college and university. The Data was analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson’s Corelation and multiple regression. Results : The average point of the consciousness of biomedical ethics was 2.88. As a result of the consciousness of biomedical ethics due to general characteristics of subjects, the experience of organ serment and participation in religious activity makes significant difference. The difference of the consciousness of biomedical ethics due to characteristics of subjects’ clinical practice found out that the significant influences are made by following factors: willing to take ethics course from nursing school, existence of clinical practice experiment, the length of time for the practice. The analysis of the correlation between the characteristic of subjects and the consciousness of biomedical ethics shows that the number of siblings has a relation. Conclusion : An arbitration program that could promote either changeable ethical values must be considered with attention to the significant variables that can promote the awareness of biomedical ethics of nursing students.
