ABSTRACT

As a result, it is emphasized that the core of Hospice Philosophy should be centered on spiritual nursing that effectively helps reduce and overcome the spiritual pain experienced by a dying patient, and meeting such spiritual needs would help to maintain and improve the well-being of patients. Spiritual nursing would enhance the quality of the remaining life of a dying patient, while also maintaining the 'relationship' that a dying patient has with God, himself/herself, neighbors, and the environment. In addition, it would be effective in helping the dying patient to accept his or her current situation as well as death in a positive manner, in order to die in peace and with hopes of an afterlife.
