AB - In Korea, a master plan for records management standardization has been established and implemented by National Archives of Korea in a short manner comparing with other countries which pursued the standardization gradually in a long-range policy. But many standards developed under the plan has being criticized in terms of standards quality and their effectiveness by records managers in public sectors. According to the needs of systematic standardization strategy development to overcome the problems, it proposes a model for developing standardization strategy for records management, which is considering strategic goles, principles and 4 strategy areas to be reformulated. This model suggests the directions to select appropriate targets and priorities to be standardized, and to improve standardization procedure and policy framework as standardizing strategy's key points.
