AB - Social welfare centers in permanent rental apartment complexes shall be established in accordance with the regulations on the establishment of childcare center for residents. However, due to the increasing number of elderly and disabled households within the complex, it is difficult to recruit children to use the daycare center within the apartment complex, and the negative image of permanent rental apartments makes it difficult to recruit new children from outside the apartment complex. Accordingly, some of the childcare centers operated by the social welfare center in the permanent rental apartment complex are closed or closed. However, it is not possible to properly utilize the closed childcare center space due to the lack of consultation with the competent ward and county, including the review of related laws and regulations. In this study, we would like to propose a plan on how to utilize the idle space of closed childcare centers through a review of the social welfare center space in the permanent rental apartment complex, the operation status of daycare centers, and related laws. As a result of the study, it was found that when changing the use of childcare centers, it is necessary to reflect the needs of residents and discuss with building owners and public institutions in social welfare centers.
