AB - The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing the willingness of college students to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). To improve the survival rate of cardiac arrest patients, prompt CPR by bystanders and enhanced willingness to perform CPR are important. The participants were 130 university students from S University in W City. Data collection took place from May 1 to June 20, 2025, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 28.0 with binary logistic regression analysis. The results showed that, according to general characteristics, the willingness to perform CPR exhibited statistically significant differences in awareness of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) installation locations within the school and AED usage. The factors influencing the willingness to perform CPR were CPR attitude (OR=6.742, 95% CI=1.417~32.073) and the ability to use an AED ‘able’ (OR=4.813, 95% CI=1.226~18.891), with a total explanatory power of 32.1%. Therefore, to enhance university students' willingness to perform CPR, it is necessary to develop and implement educational programs that promote positive attitudes toward CPR and improve competency in AED use.
