AB - For a regular website that connects to the Internet and can access it with a web browser to view the content the user wants, the technical conditions are the same, and the member site only requires a login process, whereas the dark web introduces special software for connection or invites existing participants to join the network. The most famous example is a network that uses a tool called Tor (The Onion Router). It is a system that anonymizes communications over the Internet by connecting with other parties through multi-level relay hubs operated by Borundia around the world, and is also used to access regular websites and Internet services, but there are many sites configured to connect only through Tor. These sites are difficult to find because they are not published on web search engines etc., and can not be explored in the first place with a normal setup web browser that does not go through Tor. Both operators and viewers maintain a very high level of confidentiality with each other, making it difficult for even law enforcement agencies to obtain information about their identities and connections.
The Dark Web is highly secrecy and controlled for illegal activities due to the possession and transmission of controlled substances and content, firearms, stolen personal and account information, credit card information, confidential business and public sector information, undisclosed software vulnerabilities, and unused malware. Often used. Software products, development kits, and pirated versions of software products are traded. In addition to Tor, there are many other software that use encryption to form small, isolated networks within the Internet, and the Dark Web operates within each network. In recent years, it has been pointed out that the proliferation of virtual currencies has increased the anonymity of payments and that transactions are becoming more active than before.
This paper examines the origins and structure of the dark web, which is an independent development, the latest trends in services and usage regulations provided by the dark web, future prospects and implications for Korea.
