AB - In this paper, I examined the application plan of geographic intelligence from P’ilgi Chaprok(miscellaneous records) focusing on Honam province. I tried to introduce some examples and determine the meanings with those examples.
First of all, I provide the characteristics of geographic intelligence from P’ilgi Chaprok. And based on this, I considered the materials divide into three groups. First, I studied the name of place such like a name of structure and temple. Second, I studied the historic figures of local area. With this, I seek for the possibility of find out new people who stayed out of the public eye. Third, I considered the local custom and specialty. I thought these information would contribute to reconstitute the local culture.
As P’ilgi Chaprok contains lots of qualified intelligence, it provides meaningful knowledge relate to the local area. I believe we need to discover new informations from P’ilgi Chaprok. So that we can make the best use of such intelligence to rebuild local history and culture.
