ABSTRACT

Oral literature is literature that uses 'word’ as a medium, and it is a trend to expand to the area of secondary orality that combines both oral and textual tradition in modern times. In addition, new definitions and perceptions are needed in accordance with the era of the time, getting away from the unconditional convergence of the formerly dependent subordinate norms which used to be exclusive. Culture is still expanding. Oral literature is characterized by a persistent culture and is maintained in the context of a changing era. Oral literature is still carried along with a story, and in order to converge on these changes, both decomposition and new paradigm shift must proceed constantly at the same time. If oral literary is not processed due to a rigid way of thinking, we may lose the context of culture, having a difficulty. If existing literary emphasized 'siteness' where oral tradition is carried out in the field, oral literature in modern media is close to expansion of space, not expiration of space. The relations in Internet media form an intimate social network through a common story in an infinite space. The everyday story of an individual must be everyone’s story through connections between memories, and accordingly a community is formed. The identity of oral literature is the communication of the entire ‘community’. This community constantly reproduces and reconstructs meanings through stories. What we should pay attention to is the 'process' where individual stories are formed into a community story. To newly define identity, it is important to identify the active forms of story consumption and focus on progress rather than root, as well as the way to create and share together. This study focuses on the phenomenon of consumption of stories by defining the main principle of oral literature as 'literature spread between people and people', focusing on 'continuity' carried on by the times and discussing it. It aims to explore the content of stories that are used in modern media through the 'performance' of a new type 'Tiger category’ and examine the process of context formation. This study suggests that a motif from Changgwui, white tiger, human-faced monster and Jangsanbeom has been syntactically consumed in a community. In addition, through this example, it will be able to lay the basis for considering the possibility of expanding the scope of genre characteristics and categories of oral literature.
