The Seoljanggu makes us easily acknowledge the beauty of ?movement within tranquility? of Korean traditional arts. The studies on the Janggu, up to now, have been concentrating mainly on the overall Janggu performance, but there have been few independent researches on the Seoljanggu, particularly in the region of Chungcheong province. This paper covers the relationship of rhythm and movement of the Seoljanggu performance in the Chungcheong province, by recalling the apprenticeship from the late Yang, Do Il who was designated as a initiator of the Intangible Cultural Property No. 3.
