AB - The development the science technology in the 21st century is a “revolution” in that it surmounted the limit that comes from the concept of space. Such a revolution is a great achievement as it brought revolution not only in political, social, economic sense but also in cultural aspect. The advent of Internet, among others, has positioned itself as an important tool, as it serves as a bridge among people in different places, helping people to exchange their feelings at the same time, in different places. This research looked into the understanding of the Korean traditional dance through this Internet culture between Korea and China. The wind of pop culture has hit hard the enormous Chinese market under the name of “Korean Wave,” also known as “Hallyu.”This research was conducted with a hope to be a foundation for Korean traditional dance, a pure art, to serve a role in a true cultural exchange with its traditional charm of Korea, as the second round of Hallyu.
As a result of the qualitative study in 2009 into Internet users (also called “netizens” in Korea) First, most of Chinese Internet users quite seriously lacked the understanding of Korean traditional dance in general, and they almost had no knowledge. Second, the interpretation on the Internet for the first time in Korea and Dance About geuchyeoteuna to work gradually, and translate the contents out of the various materials provided. Third, the work of this area of work, or at the national level, was connected to the exchange. Fourth, through in-depth interview, the 'beautiful' 'gorgeous''more and more interested 'and a brief response to the awareness of dance was in Korea.
