AB - The industrialization of culture and arts emerged with the cultural arts management of academic and social issues from the late 1990s, and also played an important role in a variety of areas. Even though recognition of the arts has been growing, there is lack of recognition for international dance festival industry. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the economic efficiency of Busan International Dance Festival, based on the study by economist, John Myerscough. According to his research, stabilization of employment creation, activation of regional economy and the added value of the arts industry would stabilize the economics of the art industry. This researcher argues that BIDF requires a systematic operation system, specialized personnel and consistent promotion. In addition, BIDF needs public and private organizations’ active support.
